Westland Camping Spotlights The Tee Pee Campground’s Gorgeous View

Westland Camping Center isn’t just an RV dealership, we are campers ourselves and want to make sure that you know all of the options available to you when you are planning your family time this year.  The Tee Pee campground is a great place not too far away, but with so much to do around it, I think you would be well served to spend a long weekend (or longer) exploring the campground, and the surrounding areas.  Here is a little bit of a preview from their website:

Tee Pee Campground

This family owned campground sits on the edge of Lake Huron, with a fantastic view of the Mackinac Bridge. It has a nice beach with a bonfire most nights, a grassy picnic area, playground, modern restrooms, camp store and game room, and water on every site.

The campground is only a mile from Mackinac City, with a bike/walking path between, and there is a shuttle to where you can catch a ferry to the Island.

Other things to do in Mackinac City include Fort Michilimackinac, Icebreaker Maritime Museum, two lighthouses, two water parks, shopping, and restaurants. Two things you should not miss: the Bridge Museum/pizza place, and a pastie.

The campground would also make a good base camp for a day trip to the UP. Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, and the Soo Locks are all possibilities.

Check them out on Facebook here.

Campground Amenities

Tee Pee Campground has been a four star Good Sam Park for over twenty years.  We take pride in offering a relaxed, friendly, clean park for our visitors, whether they are returnees or new families. You will not get lost in our park, your kids can roam on bikes or trikes and be safe and we do not hand you a long list of rules you are required to follow.  We ask that you observe quiet hours after 10:00 p.m. and be considerate of your fellow campers.  Pets are welcome if you will clean up after your pet and not leave them unattended.  Pets are welcomed on the island and the ferries.  If you wish a dinner or shopping or a day on the island, pet sitting service is available for a small fee.
At the entrance to the park you will find the registration office, our recreation room, and the Tee Pee Camp Store.  Our rec room activities include an air hockey table, a pool table, a foosball table, and a few video games. Also located inside the park we have camp fire rings and picnic tables on every site, horseshoe pits, a basketball court, a volleyball/badminton net, and a really nice playground on our sandy beach. Balls, and equipment can be checked out at our office. Free WIFI is available all through the park.
